A delegation comprising the Director of the Agency for Quality in Higher Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristina Serafimovska, and the President of the Accreditation Board, Prof. Dr. Marjan Gjurovski, attended the General Assembly of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), held in Brussels, Belgium, from 22 to 24 October 2025.
This year ENQA also celebrated its 25th anniversary, marked by an appropriate formal celebration. The three-day event included numerous working sessions addressing quality assurance from various perspectives, including the challenges of the global context, artificial intelligence, revision of standards and related topics.
The stay in Brussels was also used for a visit to North Macedonia’s Permanent Mission to the European Union, where a working meeting was held with Ambassador Zulfi Ismaili with the aim of mobilising resources and providing logistical support for the introduction of European higher education standards in North Macedonia and for strengthening the Agency’s internal capacities.
